Washing Peoples feet hardly Matters

A lot of publicity is being given to the feet of ladies being washed in Mumbai. Besides the hype attached to the statement nothing will change after Maundy Thursday gets over. How many priests in Mumbai kissed  the feet of the people they washed today if they are imitating the Pope.

I went for to St.Michaels Mahim today  for the Maundy Thursday service.Bishop Bosco Penha spoke on some issues and stated that people who do not follow them are away from Jesus.

  1. Daily Mass not just Sunday Mass
  2. Reading the bilble
  3. Visiting the blessed Sacrament at least once in15 days.
  4. Being a Part of the Small Christian Communities

I am basically a Sunday Mass goer , I rarely read the bible and visit the blessed sacrament and I am not a member of the Small Christian Community  but yet I am still a good catholic.

Bishop Bosco Penha was the person who was in Charge of Mumbai in the year 2008 as Cardinal Gracias was sick during that period. Marinagar gardens, our amenities were sold behind our backs during that period. I had written and hand delivered a number of letters to Archbishops House during that period which Bishop Bosco did not even have the decency to reply and to top it all denied receiving the said letters.

Mr. Vincy Nazareth a member of Our Lady of Lourdes CHS Ltd, I , Secretary of Our Lady of Vailankanni and Perpetual Succour CHS Ltd and two Church tenants met Bishop Bosco on 6th  June 2009 with regard to the Marinagar Gardens being sold.He denied they were sold and said that Marinagar development was an on going project.Bishop Bosco then fixed the next meeting to be held on the 4 th Saturday as per my convenience,  as the 2nd Saturday of the month was too short a period and told us that he would also send us letters. Surprisingly Mr. Vincy Nazareth told me that only 3 letters have come instead of four.On further investigating the matter not only me but Vincy Nazareth was also not called for the meeting.

Why were we not called ? Both of us represented Co-operative Housing Societies so we would have stakes in the deal as land owners so he did not want to talk to us.

Bishop Bosco washing of feet and even the full body means nothing. You will never get any closer to Jesus. What needs to be washed is your heart.  Wash ones greed to covet other peoples properties/ gardens. Wash ones heart of revenge and of falsely framing people and woman in particular and throwing her out of the Parish Council in Dadar.Wash you mind and cleanse it so that innocent people are not framed.

Tell me there are so many catholics who do not hear Sunday Mass due to genuine reasons are they doomed to go to hell?

It is better not to say mass but lead a good life.Chances are you will reach heaven faster.

About The Voice Of Bombay's Catholic Laity

Bombay Laity Ezekiel’s Chapter 3 Task as Watchman 17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18 When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for[b] their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.

  1. John Menezes says:

The New Mass has neither an Offertory not a Consecration which deficiencies show up in no other place than the website of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel in Colaba, under “Ministry.” Its General Instruction shows that it embraces the Theology of Assembly and not the Theology of Sacrifice. Nor does it have a validly ordained priest as from 18/6/1968 drastically revised ordination rites crept in unannounced. In The Order of Melchisedech, late Michael Davies, convert from the Anglican to the Catholic Church, has written on the revised 1968 rite of priestly ordination: “Every prayer in the traditional rite which stated specifically the essential role of a priest as a man ordained to offer propitiatory sacrifice for the living and the dead has been removed. In most cases these were the precise prayers removed by the Protestant Reformers or, if not precisely the same, there are clear parallels.” Where then does the Blessed Sacrament come from?

  2. What a big HOO HA is being made about this washing of the feet ” FARCE ” — I have two remedies for all this — FIRST — wash your HEART of all hatred and ill feeling — SECOND — abolish that breed of vermin clergy called SECULAR / DIOCESAN — they have NO VOW of poverty or proper obedience to bind them — and hence run amok with their sexual and money grabbing antics — then and only then — will we have SHEPHERDS instead of WOLVES
    LET US PRAY !!!!

Why we need to washing of Feet ??
First Our Holy Pope shall clean the Clergy and Church administration.
In 1991 on Moundy Thursday Fr.Peter S. Noronha Parish Priest of Our Mother of Sorrows Church Udupi shifted my parents to old aged home Oznam without the knowledge of children entering into fraud land deal of 12 acre land in Moodubelle even without the knowledge of Moodu belle Church. Latter our parents realized that they were cheated and filed a civil case of fraud and cheating .We children had faith in God and we got our mother back with us and since she is still happily living with us who is 88 years old now . We still fighting for the justice in civil court of Udupi and we have faith in God that we will get justice from the court and not from Priest / bishops who are only money minded .
