Will Catholic Lawyers Guild help catholics when the accused is the Church?

Attached below is a copy of the page of the Catholic Lawyers Guild, Mumbai.
When I spoke to one Walter Lewis on 14/06/15 and told him that 150 catholic families have not been given coveyance and would like his guilds help , he at first denied that they help people with regard to conveyance.

I  then told him that  his website stated that they help people with conveyance problems and that the St.Michaels Church was the owner of the land and had to give conveyance to 150 catholic families and what was his stand.

He then said that one should not politicise the issue and was then asked if he took convenient stands.

He then said that no one had a right to question him.

He was then told that he functions from a public  trust office and that office has been purchased and is maintained with funds of the laity and once a person took certain posts the laity definitely has a right to question him. He then cut the phone.

Attached below is copy of the website, where the last query shows that one can go with conveyance problems.

About The Voice Of Bombay's Catholic Laity

Bombay Laity Ezekiel’s Chapter 3 Task as Watchman 17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18 When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for[b] their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.

  1. Hard to say. There are catholics lawyers who spare their valuable time and professional knowledge to help the community.
There are others who may think differently and consider their services are a profession.
I hope we had more and more lawyers and others professionals within out community to offer their services free of cost to deserving catholics and most of all stand for the truth no matter who the offender is.We should not take convenient stands.
I do recall some years ago at Good friday services at my parish at Santa Cruz, where a outside preachers was brought to give a homely. He did compare the two thieves who were crucifies besides Our lord Jesus christ to the modern day Doctor and Lawyers. When I approached the then parish priest and asked him how could this priest say so, I was told it was in a lighter vain.
God Help us the catholic community.

Do you mean to say there are no well meaning lawyers who cannot take up the cases of our suffering brothers and sisters. The laity has to take steps in this case. This attitude is definitely not Christian at all.
Two Commandments that cover all:- “Love God” and ” Love your neighbour as yourself .”
This is applicable and fundamental to Jesus’s Teaching and is applicable to all, including the hierarchy of Mother Church who stands for Christ. We meed to learn from our non-christian brothers and sisters – The Gujeratis,The Marwaris, who stand up for their community. The Church has to be above all this imitating Jesus and The good Shepherd in keeping the fold together.

Jesus is The Light of the world – we humans are far from perfection and real imitationof The Teacher as grace will not act if our will is not surrendered to God to act. God knows each one’s frailties and weaknesses – even St Peter had defects, yet Jesus chose him to found His Church. Therefore He admonshed us never to judge but cast our burden on to Him and He will resolve things in His time as Life is His Time given to us for His mission. He has given us a powerful aid Prayer (in Spirit and Truth) and His Mother Mary to intercede for us. Many saints suffered many injustices but they bore them patiently knowing this life has an end and the real life is eternal. Each cross is His stepping stone towards perfection – so be anyone in the Mystical Body of Christ has to undergo suffering like the Master – Who said “the world hated Me and will hate my followers – it persecuted Me and so these will be persecuted” So pray fervently mass and the rosary and the one who asks seeks and knocks The Divine Master Teacher Judge will answer – True Hope
