OPEN LETTER TO OSWALD CARDINAL GRACIAS – ROBERT D’SOUZA MIRA ROAD PARISH

OPEN LETTER

TO OSWALD CARDINAL GRACIAS.

YOUR EMINENCE, WELCOME TO ST. JOSEPH CHURCH, MIRA ROAD.

You are a rare sighting in this part of the Archdiocese. You will have your audience. This

presence

of yours for the Musical ‘He and She’ will be one more recorded achievement in your journey for the promotion of equality of women and gender sensitive issues

in our Archdiocese.

But please spare a thought on the situation

of OUR PARISH

as you occupy the dais…..

1.   When you come on the stage you will notice opposite you

,

the achievements of our Carmelite Community entrusted to our spiritual welfare and well being.  You will see a certified questionable, illegal and unauthorized structure  (Anubhav extension). Spare a thought and do offer a prayer for those 3 laborers who were the victims of the greed of this community. We don’t know what has happened of them especially one with serious pelvic injury.

WHERE IS HIS DAILY BREAD COMING FROM?

2.

B

eside you on top of the church building, stands a steel monolith

(45 tons and more)

which epitomizes a ‘cock a snook’ attitude towards the civic authorities and you. An unholy monument of a weather shed that has the potential to weaken the church building over a period of time due to its sheer weight. From 3 you may not know how many. God forbid!

IF ONLY YOU HAD ACTED ON TIME, there was no need to pen and express our disillusionment and disappointment with the way you have handled this situation. You could have prevented this mess before it began.  The people you entrusted to handle

THIS MESS,

have done a lousy job it seems from your inaction.  It is so unbecoming that in spite of the seriousness of the issues, it took for you more than 5 months to give an appointment. Somehow our correspondence did not merit your attention but in spite, of the glaring evidence of mismanagement, you took the letters of appreciation for the runaway parish priest Dominic Vas OCD, from some indoctrinated parishioners seriously. Speaks volumes of your specialty as a Canon lawyer. Only on knowing that we have accessed the Audited Statements from the Charity Commissioner’s Office did you appoint Bishop Dominic Savio. The less said of him the better.  It is depressing!

SO Dear Cardinal, I appreciate your support towards the message through the musical, and there is no doubt that there is a need in the present times and situation. But don’t you think there needs to be given equal if not more effort to put an halt to this unholy and devious mission of these Carmelite

Community
,

whose Provincial Charles Serrao, OCD has no qualms in advocating that if there is dealing with black money outside so what’s the big deal if there is little dealing with black money within the church. Who justifies that if little money in the parish, which is one tenth of a normal temple collection, adjusted by his priests (who earn 1000 – 1500 per month), so what is the big deal!  Whose Parish Priest Nelson Pinto OCD, says if adjustment is done in institutions (no doubt that includes the Archdiocese too) and in the homes then what’s the big deal if his community does. The response of one of the parishioner who mentions, ‘that we have attacked the malpractices of the Carmelite priests just because they are soft targets and instead we should target outside’ clearly indicates that the Carmelites have succeeded in their agenda from ‘Be Still ‘ to ‘Be Steal’ and have converted St. Joseph Church to St Joseph Temple.

This conversion even while you are handling the situation……..

Spare a thought Cardinal, dear.

Dear God, May your Kingdom Come to our Parish.

Robert D’Souza
If Christianity were illegal would there be enough evidence to convict you?”

About The Voice Of Bombay's Catholic Laity

Bombay Laity Ezekiel’s Chapter 3 Task as Watchman 17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18 When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for[b] their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.
