St.Anthony of Padua Church Kalwa Thane, Has the Construction stopped?

Below are photographs of the plaque, details of the architect and photographs of the work in progress.

The work on construction of the said Church appears to have stopped.

Is something wrong?

Could the Parish Priest Fr.Cajetan Pinto make a statement as to why the work has stopped?

From the photographs below it can been seen that the iron rods have been exposed for a long time and have got rusty.

I only hope that the title deeds of this place are in order or it would mean one more place where parishioners have been cheated.

We, pray to St.Anthony to help us unravel this mystery.

AOCC Thane Unit is likely to get to the bottom of this.

About The Voice Of Bombay's Catholic Laity

Bombay Laity Ezekiel’s Chapter 3 Task as Watchman 17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18 When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for[b] their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.

  1. Let us not live in hope that Cajetan Pinto will respond. Their strategy has always been to make the laity run around and forget the issue in frustration.
It is my belief and view that for all questionable issues regarding catholic church properties ,assets and finance, we the laity need to take a silent protest both to the office of the concerned Parish and follow up with the second run to the Archbishops House.
We the laity need to get to the bottom of this issue. We had had enough of their abuse of authority for just too long.

  2. Peter Prabhu says:

One trip at Via 2 Carducci in Rome to protest outside the demented Curial Cardinal.
