One more first person account which nails Fr.Clifton Lobo’s account of refusal of communion for having knelt down

Read below  the e mails sent to various persons including priests sent by Judith Monterio who was present for the 6 am mass when the incident happened.
Fr.Clifton Lobo who stays with the priest in question and has definitely interacted with him wants the laity to believe something which is incorrect and wants to tarnish the name of the journalist.
Fr.Clifton no one wants to embarrass the church but yes when a person tells white lies the church does get embarrassed by such acts.
The e mail

Hi A

As a part-witness to the incident at Mahim Church, I feel duty bound by conscience to put down not only the occurence of that morning but also post-incident happenings
Am meeting tomorow with Rev Fr Simon Borges, Parish Priest,St Michael Church,Mahim alongwith Mr Dominic & the concerned person Mr Philip.

The incident occured a few days before the feast & as a result the man who was a regular (reaching the church before 5.15am) stopped attending the mass & novena. Our Blessed Mother takes care of her children & so led me to a spontaneous discussion with the Parish Priest on the Feast Day while wishing him. On hearing that the  man stopped attending the Services , in the TRUE CHRISTLIKE spirit, Fr Borges asked me to bring the man to him . By God’s grace a sheep will be saved & reconciliation will take place. The action of Fr Borges is appreciated.
I say I was a part-witness cos I was not sure what transpired between the priest & the laymember as I had just received Holy Communion & my head was bowed down in reverence. On hearing a commotion, ( I was on the 3rd bench having just received the Eucharist in the same line from the same priest who was alongside the Parish Priest who was in the 2nd line of the same aisle) I looked up to see an argument between the Usher, Mr Tim & the 2 gentlemen – Dominic & Philip. Since Philip is from my parish in dadar I knew of his habit to kneel & receive the Eucharist & figured that could be the cause for commotion.
After the Service, while leaving the Church, I saw them argue again & then they were led out by Tim from a side door. My guess was right ! I then informed Mr Tim that this person does so daily in my parish & that the Pope emeritus had asked that the laity be encouraged  to receive the Eucharist kneeling & on their tongue. Mr Tim replied that he was following the instruction of Fr Blaise &  apologised to the man even hugging him for his error. (The same was informed to the Parish Priest). Yes, I was & am a part-witness just as the other devotees & the parish priest who was nearby when the incident took place

A lot of open discussions appears to be taking place, hopefully the meeting will save a Soul & restore the faith of the laity in the Church of Christ & His Blessed Mother. I am confident the all powerful Eucharist will triumph in this.

regards,

About The Voice Of Bombay's Catholic Laity

Bombay Laity Ezekiel’s Chapter 3 Task as Watchman 17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18 When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for[b] their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.

  1. Good work Ms Judith. The clergy instead of making amends tell white lies and duck for cover.Of course we have been brought up top respect the clergy, yet that was the past when the clergy and the laity had respect for each other. Today the clergy is autocratic and believe they are the chosen ones. The only demand to pay, pray and obey and that will not be the case. What is more surprising is that the official Archdiocese spoke person is as silent as a grave and the “BIG BOSS” who is also a chosen adviser to The Holy Father is no were to be heard.
The people will revolt and then it will be too last.
We the people would be keen to know the results of your meeting.
