12 hr peaceful hunger fast & prayers to be offered
Mumbai : A 12 hour peaceful hunger fast & prayers will be offered on Thursday, 23rd May, 2013 from 7AM to 7PM at Holy Name Cathedral premises) outside Archbishops house, Mumbai). Prayers will be recited at 11 am.
The reason why this lady, an ex-elected trustee of Dadar parish (Judith Monteiro, O.L.S Parish, Dadar), is staging a peaceful hunger fast outside the Archbishops House Bombay, is to seek Justice in a decade long false, unjust & defamation matter in her Parish. Catholic Groups like AOCC, CSF, MCYF, CPF & others  have supported this cause. You too can show your support by joining the prayer service  at 11 am, or pray from wherever you are at that time.
His Eminence Cardinal Oswald Gracias & His Lordship Bishop Agnelo Gracias had taken up the issue about this lady and last year in their wisdom they found her absolutely innocent (we have their statements on hand, see attachments).
However the concerned priest refuses to accept the same, which is the height of insubordination, and has refused to make an announcement to the parishioners  publicly displaying lack of respect, and regard for the Bishop, and Archbishop of Bombay.
Even after bringing this to the notice of Our Dear Cardinal Oswald Gracias and Bishop Agnelo Gracias the said priest, does not care and both Our Dear Cardinal Oswald Gracias who is the head of The Archdiocese of Bombay, and one of the selected advisers to Pope Francis, and Bishop Agnelo Gracias who conducted the investigation are totally helpless.

About The Voice Of Bombay's Catholic Laity

Bombay Laity Ezekiel’s Chapter 3 Task as Watchman 17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18 When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for[b] their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.

  1. On 23 May 2013, the community peaceful hunger and prayer was undertaken by Ms Judith Monteiro. It was a complete success. catholics that celebrated Holy mass were shocked and distressed that the administration of the Church at Bombay could stoop to such low down issues. More so many non catholic sisters and brothers stopped to ask what was this fast and prayer for and when they were given the handout were very very shocked. Of course we got some feed back that when the parish priest of Salvation church Dadar was questioned he played the flip side of the record to get himself out of this messy issue, which was of his very own doing.
Yes, the people are aware and even some priests who had come to The Archbishops house which is next to the cathedral were shocked at the issue Judith has gone through..
Its a good thing that the people both catholics as well as non catholics have been made aware of the happenings within the administration of the catholic Church at Mumbai, India.
The struggle has just begun and will go on and on till the truth is made know to all.
Judit- more and more people are with you, while you struggle for justice..
