Demand of Separate Christian Province is voice of 20 million Pakistani Christians

Karachi: July 3, 2012. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have condemned so-called Pakistani Christian leaders and self-proclaimed Christian civil society activists who are working on Pakistani establishment agenda to campaign against demand of formation of Separate Christian Province as federal administrative unit of Pakistan on division of Punjab.

Nazir Bhatti clarified that to demand a Separate Christian Province as a federal administrative unit is according to provisions of constitution of Pakistan and every ethnic and religious community in Pakistan deserves right to demand its enclave.

“Pakistan was first state on map of world formed on religion grounds which was duly supported by Christians and if it is divided in more administrative unit on religion basis it will guarantee integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan” said Nazir Bhatti

PCC Chief said that Muslims who entered as invaders in sub-continent of India and ruled for centuries were never sons of soil but looted resources of this land and smuggled to Middle East and Central Asia but still demanded separate homeland for them.

Nazir Bhatti said that local Indian Tribes and clans who converted to Islam or Christianity were treated as slaves by Muslim invaders during their rule and are still being as slaves after formation of Pakistan in 1947.

“The Sindhi, Seraiki, Baloch and Punjabi Christians and Muslims who are true sons of soil are deprived of their basic democratic rights in Pakistan and only generation of invaders are enjoying resources of Pakistan which have forced sons of soil to demand division of Pakistan in more administrative unit” added Nazir Bhatti

The focal point of Pakistan Movement was fear of persecution by hands of Hindu majority and their hate towards Muslims but situation in Pakistan is worst against other religious communities and against Christians rather than situation during British Colonial rule in united India.

The Muslim majority in Pakistan have turned 20 million Pakistani Christians as 2nd class citizens in a land ruled by their ancestors before Muslims invaded sub-continent of India.

Pakistani Christians have no due representation in parliament proportional to their population nor they have right to democratically elect their representatives by their votes.

The Islamic laws are imposed on Christians to turn them as constitutional Muslims and their women are kidnapped and gang raped under protection of Islamic laws.

Muslim mobs attacks worship places of religious minorities but none is ever punished in Islamic Republic of Pakistan because killer is a Muslim.

The hate on religious grounds is at peak that Christians cannot eat or drink in Muslim owned food places in Pakistan.

Nazir Bhatti said that those Christians who are raising voice against demand of Separate Christian Province on division of Punjab are not true leaders of Pakistani Christians but agents of Islamic groups and tools of Pakistani establishment because they are enjoying parliament after selection by Islamic groups not with vote of Christians while few self-proclaimed civil society leaders against this demand have record to collect millions in foreign tours campaigns against blasphemy law but change their stance entering in jurisdiction of Pakistan.

Pakistan Christian Congress PCC demanded formation of Separate Christian Province In 1992, in Karachi, when government was planning to divide Pakistan in 17 new administrative units.

Nazir S Bhatti appealed to Sindhi, Baloch and Seraiki Muslim nationalists to favor demand of Separate Christian Province being brothers of sons of soil.

PCC will issue whitepaper on demand of Separate Christian Province on division of Punjab as an administrative unit, said PCC Chief Nazir S Bhatti

Nazir Bhatti congratulated CLAAS and PCNP on raising voice for Separate Christian Province in Pakistan and assured Joseph Francis that more organizations will join this demand.
