IS YOGA BEING TAUGHT AND ACCEPTED BY THE CHURCH IN MUMBAI?

Is Yoga taught and also encouraged as a way of life for the priesthood? Are there priest staff members who are deeply into yoga and have been often found frequenting a Buddhist centre at Igatpuri for Vippassana where one is not allowed to say the daily mass, or recite any Christian prayer or practice any devotion and where carrying of any form of spiritual articles are discouraged? Are seminarians hoarded together under compulsion to such programmes in the name of retreats?

There are priests who even teach yoga in parishes, like Fr. Vincent Pereira at Amboli. It is gather that there are some who go to the USA regularly for conducting yoga classes. Fr. Evan D’souza, Fr. Patrick D’mello, Fr Felix Rebello from Panvel, Fr. Rudolph Andrades, are priests who promote the cause of yoga and vippassana and other New Age methodologies. Some are even earning dollars and rupees from yoga.

A priest run foundation is heavily intoxicated with yoga. The said priest claims BKS Iyengar to be his Guru rather than Jesus. The Archdiocese has done nothing to reign in this priest all because they has been a nexus between the Bishops and him.

The ultimate question is this:

1) What is lacking in Catholic Spirituality that we are finding solace in these spirituality’s.?

2) Are they being ordained priests to promote yoga and eastern techniques or to proclaim the Gospel.?

The most notorious ones are the religious orders like the Jesuits and SVD’s who have been promoting these forms unbridled.

Priests who have opposed such contamination are marked out and isolated without any dialogue while on the other hand the Church has been promoting such syncretism in the name of dialogue. Alas for dialogue!

About The Voice Of Bombay's Catholic Laity

Bombay Laity Ezekiel’s Chapter 3 Task as Watchman 17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18 When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for[b] their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.

  1. IS YOGA BEING TAUGHT AND ACCEPTED BY THE CHURCH IN MUMBAI?

Straight forward answer is “YES”. They know more on Hindu and Buddhist occult spirituality than Authentic Catholic spirituality. They know Hindu Sanskrit Shlokas better than Bible scripture. Why are you targeting only MUMBAI, Why not Bangalore, MANGALORE. It is the same story in India and around the World. There is a great demand for Christian YOGA teachers around the World.

FATHIMA RETREAT CENTRE MANGALORE conducts Christian YOGA retreats. St. PATRICKS Church campus Bangalore used for YOGA and PRANAYAMA, INFANT JESUS SHRINE MANGALORE OCD priests promotes YOGA classes. In Mangalore Diocese every parish promotes YOGA classes for children. Our religious institutes, Campus, Schools, colleges are used to promote SATANIC Spirituality.

Even recently I came to know Divine Retreat Centre Muringoor Rehab centers have YOGA classes. I don’t know house far it is true. Recently international youth conference 2011 Divine retreat centre promoted Hindu KATAKALI temple dance. SVD and Jesuits promotes occult temple Devadasi dance in the Church. Even one Jesusit priest conducted Bharatanatyam at BALAJI Temple in UK.

There are not enough prophetic voices and even some voices scandalized by the authorities. Occult practices are moving freely in and around the Churches. They are not concerned about the Church as well as the Souls. New community Bible is the best example and it was approved by Indian Bishops and Cardinals.

Kind of spirituality going on here is leading people to embrace Hinduism, Buddhism etc.. Not the Crucified Christ.

Why Bishops, Cardinals in India are silent on this matter. It indicates they support occultism in the Church.

Is Indian Catholic Church is LOYAL to VATICAN or LOYAL to Powerful liberal new age priests.

Recently from last six months I heard many new age practices which are happening in Mumbai Arch-Diocese like Pranic Healing, Interplay, and YOGA etc…
There is not doubt that MUMBAI Arch-Diocese has become a New Age promotional Hub of India

Thankyou Francis for your bold comment

  3. Babloo John says:

Ivan Cardinal Dias is the major cause for this evil rot in the Archdiocese. I am glad he is no more in India,
